Our Nurseries
York Gardens
nursery is situated in York Gardens Children Centre on Lavender Road in Clapham Junction, SW11 opened in 2013. This purpose built premises has a large garden and provides a bright and welcoming nursery environment that has been specifically designed to provide care and learning for twenty four children aged from two to five years. We are open 38 weeks per year not including bank holidays from 9:00 am to 4:00pm.
Thessaly Road
nursery opened in 2019 and is situated in Yvonne Carr Children Centre in Thessaly Road SW8. This setting is on the border of Wandsworth and Lambeth and welcomes all children. This setting is also purpose built for children aged 2 to 5 years and the children have constant access to a lovely garden. The nursery is open 38 weeks a year from 9am to 3:30pm.
Settling in at nursery
We aim to support parents and carers to help their children settle quickly and easily at nursery by giving consideration to the individual needs and circumstances of each child and their families. You can find out more by reading our key person approach and settling in at nursery information sheets.
When your child starts nursery you will attend 2 stay and play session together with their key person (teacher). These sessions are excellent for helping your child feel comfortable in their new environment and you will have lots of opportunity to meet everyone and find out more about life at nursery. Once you have attend these sessions we can then plan for your child to start attending independently of you.
